Well said. I'm not going to name names but I've seen evidence of this happening too. Of course I'm only speculating but I'd imagine it goes like this: Hot girl (currently unknown) goes to tech conference > Hot girl meets and greets with some key players in her field > Besotted, those key players big her up to people they meet > Talented or not, hot girl begins gaining notoriety and/or clients based on recommendations that are based, in the main, on cleavage and fluttering eyelashes. There are some <em>very</em> talented girls in tech. No doubt about it. Doubtless, as well, is the fact that you are one of them, Kat. These are the ones I'm interested in. These are the ones who will have the real, well earned success. Sadly, in a male-dominated industry this pattern will continue as long as guys like tits. Well said. I’m not going to name names but I’ve seen evidence of this happening too. Of course I’m only speculating but I’d imagine it goes like this:

There are some very talented girls in tech. No doubt about it. Doubtless, as well, is the fact that you are one of them, Kat. These are the ones I’m interested in. These are the ones who will have the real, well earned success.

Sadly, in a male-dominated industry this pattern will continue as long as guys like tits. It’s up to girls to have some self respect and guys to stop being so damn gullable.
